2020 Nissan Kicks gets upgraded safety, starts at less than $20,000

The 2020 Nissan Kicks receives a range of significant improvements this year starting with more standard safety technology than ever before. The good news is that despite its upgraded list of features, the Kicks won’t be more expensive.

The Kicks will start at $19,298 in its base S trim with two other models, the SV and SR, offered at $21,998 and $23,998 respectively. Every 2020 Nissan Kicks gets a long list of advanced safety technologies that include Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Intelligent Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, radar-based Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and High Beam Assist. In addition, rear side impact supplemental airbags are added to all grades, and Intelligent Driver Alertness as well as Rear Door Alert are now standard on Kicks SV and SR grades. The sporty SR grade is now offered with a rear spoiler.

The Kicks is powered by a standard 1.6-litre engine with 122 horsepower. It averages just 7.7 litres per 100 kilometers in the city and 6.6 litres per 100 kilometers on the highway.
