2021 Nissan Rogue vs. 2021 Hyundai Tucson: The Rogue Does It All

If an advanced, roomy, efficient and stylish SUV is on your menu for a new car purchase, look no further. The Nissan Rogue offers these qualities and more with its updated 2021 lineup. It is the most versatile Rogue imagined with excellent passenger and cargo volume, and features such as standard 360-degree safety and a premium interior offer comfort and a peace of mind on any trip.

The Rogue is not without competition, but we are happy to compare it anyway to help you understand how outstanding this vehicle is. Here, we compare it to the 2021 Hyundai Tucson.

The 2021 Nissan Rogue is more powerful and efficient

The 2021 Nissan Rogue features a more powerful engine. A 2.5-litre four-cylinder that produces a solid 181 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque is included in each model.

The Tucson offers two powertrains. Several models receive a 2.0-litre four-cylinder that produces 160 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. This places the Tucson at a power disadvantage with their front-wheel drive and select AWD trims.

The Rogue's powertrain is standard on all FWD and AWD models. The Tucson's most powerful option, a 2.4-litre four-cylinder, has the same horsepower with slightly less torque. However, buyers have to purchase higher grades to access this option.

The Rogue also has the best efficiency among any vehicle in this comparison. It features a fuel consumption rating as low as 8.9/7.0 L/100 km (city/highway) with FWD models and an AWD rating of 9.2/7.2 L/100 km. The Tucson's best rating is 10 /7.9 L/100 km. The Rogue will save you money and the planet's valuable resources with the first tank of petrol.

The 2021 Nissan Rogue is more versatile

More families are buying the updated Rogue because it offers more. It is important that compact SUVs offer the best interior volume whenever possible, and the Rogue doesn't disappoint. It features up to nearly 2,100 litres of configurable cargo space behind the front seats. The Hyundai Tucson falls short at 1,754 litres. The Rogue also includes more cargo space behind the rear seats.

The Rogue also makes ProPILOT Assist more accessible and upgraded for 2021, aiming to help more drivers commute in a less stressful way. The Tucson doesn’t have this type of technology.
