Nissan Titan and Rogue Warrior: Nissan Shows its Grit
January 21 2016,
Nissan has been busy over the last few weeks, unveiling two new products that are sure to turn heads. The first is one of the most rugged pickup trucks you are sure to see, ever. The other truly comes out of nowhere and proves that even vehicles designed firstly for families can be exciting and unique.
Nissan is Pushing the Limits
Let’s have a look at the latter first. It’s the all-new Nissan Rogue Warrior, and it certainly is one of the most unique vehicles ever presented at the Montreal International Auto Show. Featuring the Nissan Rogue body, the Rogue Warrior does not have wheels. Instead, it features four rugged snow tracks that measure 30"/76 cm in height, 48"/122 cm in length and have an individual track width of 15"/38 cm.
"Nissan has a well-rounded suite of all-wheel drive crossover vehicles to master the toughest winter roads. In fact, Nissan's all-wheel drive (AWD) system adapts to road conditions 30 times faster than the blink of an eye," says Joni Paiva, president of Nissan Canada Inc. "The Rogue Warrior symbolizes the essence of our popular crossover and sport utility vehicle family, while also reminding show goers what Nissan is all about – being bold, pushing the limits, and exciting capability that's anchored in quality."
The Rogue Warrior can reach 100 km/h and climb a 45 degree slope. No question, it is perfect for Canadian winters!
Innovation to the Max
A few days before the Nissan Rogue Warrior was unveiled in Montreal, the Nissan Titan Warrior was showcased at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The Titan Warrior is based on the Titan XD, Nissan’s all-new full-size pickup truck.
Featuring a very powerful stance and a host of visual enhancements, the Titan Warrior looks mean, and yet its styling is in line with its capabilities. With increased ground clearance and a powerful 5.0-liter V8 Cummins diesel engine under the hood (most likely) just like the 2016 Nissan Titan XD, the Warrior version is set to face just about any terrain.
"Truck buyers have a seemingly insatiable appetite for more content and more unique offerings," said José Muñoz, executive vice president, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and chairman, Nissan North America, Inc. "Even though our all-new 2016 TITAN XD just started arriving at Nissan dealers nationwide last month, we are already exploring new territory where TITAN might go in the future."
"Nissan has always pushed the boundaries of traditional automotive design and engineering, from our Nissan GT-R supercar to the new TITAN XD," explained Muñoz. "We do this with a clear conviction that there are buyers out there who appreciate something everyone else does not have. A 'work hard, play harder, get bigger' TITAN XD certainly does the job."
